The Proposal Setup
Earlier this fall, Nil reached out to me with an exciting request to photograph his proposal to Nupur near Liberty State Park in New Jersey. Nupur, his now-fiancée, happens to be the sibling of a DJ I know, which made this opportunity even more special. I was absolutely thrilled to be a part of their big moment!
Nil had envisioned a beautifully planned setup for the proposal, and it was nothing short of magical. However, the day came with its share of challenges, including some seriously strong winds that tried their best to disrupt the setup. Despite this, we rallied together, improvising with a few clever workarounds to bring their vision to life!
The Proposal
As Nil went to bring Nupur to the special spot, I waited on a nearby bench, doing my best to stay discreet and blend into the surroundings. The anticipation was electric, and as soon as I saw them walking over, I got into position and began capturing the moment.
Nil had prepared such a thoughtful and personal touch for the proposal—a set of beautiful wine glasses adorned with photos showcasing some of their most cherished memories together. He presented them to Nupur, walking her through the story of their love with each picture. It was such an emotional and heartfelt moment, and you could see the love and excitement in her eyes.
Then came the big question! Nil dropped to one knee, and time seemed to stand still for a second. With the stunning NYC skyline as their backdrop and the cool autumn breeze in the air, he asked her to spend forever with him. And the best part? SHE SAID YES!
It was such a joyful and love-filled moment, and I was honored to be there to document it all. These are the moments that make my heart so full as a photographer!
Post-Proposal Photoshoot
